Simon Brown created Joe Browns in 1998 after seeing a bunch of friends drinking beer in The Ty Coch Inn in Morfa Nefyn, North Wales, after surfing. Fresh from the water, salt in their hair, smiling, joking, and carefree, they were having fun. Joe Browns stood for FUN, SPONTANEOUS, and FREE! Joe Browns began as a lifestyle brand for guys, drawing inspiration from around the world to create unique, personality-filled clothes. We sold motorbikes and parachuting days! Our first catalogue was created then. With a crew of less than 10 people working from a modest house in Farsley, sales were rising, so we established our first website (you can see it here!). To ensure everyone can enjoy Joe Browns, we still send everyone a printed catalogue.
